That's why I posted this thread. I want to get some professional opinions on what the car would sell for. The car will come without a motor or transmission.

With a SBC, LT1, or LS1 motor and transmission, the car would weigh approximately 2700-2800 lbs without driver. Maybe less, I haven't had it on a scale the way it sits.

What do you think?

Re: Gauging Interest on Value of 97 Camaro Drag Race Car

I have a similar car and it weighs 2800lbs without me in it. I would have to think that although there is no ignition in the car it is worth $17-$22000 rolling. The parts and labour are there. Its moly not a peice of crap. To make it legal past 2006 you will have to do a couple of floor bars. Not a big deal. I am in the same boat. Put it on racingjunk and National dragster. Does it have lightweight brakes and manual rack?? Really?? Even without these things its still worth $15 000 on a bad day. JMHO.

Yes it has Aerospace brakes all around and a Aerospace pinto style manual rack. Thanks for the info and response!
