Fully built RMVB TH400 + 3k stall <20mi - $700

I bought this transmisison about a year ago. Before that it sat in a heated garage for a year as a spare for a super stock racer named Rick Beutnagel with his 82 455 firebird. He's the guy who invented the crank trigger and the delay box or something. Anyway transmission and converter have less than 20 miles on them. When i bought my 68 it has a blown transmission and with my past history with autos i decided to buy one that would be unbreakable.

This transmission is full manual, reverse pattern. Has no speedo hook up. It's a BOP bolt pattern but easily adapted to a chevy block. Jegs sells the kit for like $57. I had planned on continuing to use it with my LS1 but just found a killer deal on a built T56 and being i have the car completely apart i decided to install that now rather than later.

I've gone through all the gears on the road with this trans. Even with the 3k stall shifting from nuetral to drive or reverse it SLAMS into gear. It sounds like someone open palm slapping the roof of my car. It goes through all the gears with instantneous shifts and downshifts. There are no leaks.

Transmission pan is a deep pan. Well was. It's slightly less deep now. When we were removing the pontiac 400 we had a jackstand under the transmission onces we got the engine free from it. We ended up having the let the engine back down to restrap it to get enough clearence to get it out (doing this in an enclosed trailer) Well when we let it down i didnt think about all the play the suspension had with it being 760lbs lighter so the jackstand dented the trans pan. It could easily be banged out, its didnt even come close to the valve body or anything, just a minor dent.

Anyway this includes the transmission, the converter, and an LS1 flexplate (from a vette but im 99% sure the torque tube spline just unbolts to make it a stock flexplate) . I hadnt bought either of the adpaters yet though sorry. I have a brand new dipstick for it too that you can have, no idea if it will fit with a newer Fbody. I'll also include the crossmember for a 67-69 camaro/firebird and i forget which years nova if you want it. It's brand new and so is the transmission mount on it.

If you have any questions just ask. Here is the transmissions builder ID i guess you would call it. I got the transmission from Rochester NY and hes a builder up from that area. I honestly don't know the specifics of the transmission sorry. I know that you will not be disappointed with it. It was behind my 450hp or so pontiac 400. I was told by Rick this transmission will handle 900hp easily.

and here is the exact converter i bought about a year ago
