FS: STOUT LTx 383 shortblock with pics...

I have a pretty nasty 383 LT1 motor for sale...

383 solid roller LT1 motor = This motor should make around 475rwhp. has a custom solid roller Cam Motions camshaft, Cloyes double-roller timing chain, B&M flexplate, ATI Super dampner, Callies 3.75 Dragonslayer fully forged crankshaft, Lunati 5.85 Pro Mod Rods, JE flat top forged nitrous pistons, Clevite H series main and rod bearings, Callies 4-bolt billet splayed main caps, ARP main studs and ARP rod bolts, Brand new freeze plugs and cam bearings. The block was hot tanked, bored and honed with plate, decked block, line bore, line hone, clearance for the stroker, rotating assembly is internally balanced, pistons and rods were honed, and everything is assembled. I have 1220.00 in machine work, a 800.00 crank, 630.00 rods, 500.00 pistons, 80.00 main studs, 19.00 cam bearings, 11.00 freeze plugs, 65.00 flexplate, 80.00 timing set, 400.00 super dampner, 110 main bearings, 110 rod bearings, 200 main caps, 400.00 custom ground cam.

So that is 4625 dollars in this shortblock. No expense was spared. I will let it go for 3800.00 Since I know that is a lot of money for most people, I am prepared to setup a payment plan if need be. I know tax refunds will be coming in a couple months.

This is a great street/strip motor that is going to go very fast in the right car. I have all receipts on this motor from parts to machine work. The motor has never been fired, but it is fully assembled.

I have pics available if you are interested.
Let me know and please email as my PMs fill up too fast

Yes the shortblock is still for sale.

If someone in Texas buys this motor, we could arrange a pickup between us.

What kind of heads would be needed to make the 475rwhp?

LE3 heads, possibly LE2s. My LT4 heads were the equivalent of a LE3 (valve sizes/flow numbers).

Price reduced to 3500.00 with brand new SFI approved Flexplate, brand new ATI superdampener, and 1000 mile used Isky Solid roller lifters.

I will also drive up to 3 hours away from Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex to meet anyone who wants to purchase it.

TTT.. Looks like a nice motor.

I can likely help you get a good deal on shipping out of Dallas at my company very conveniantly if you sell it. Just to maybe help out the buyer a little. If interested shoot me a pm.

Peace,
Josh

This shortblock is a steal at that price. I paid that price for my new 383, but it has the inferior Eagle rods and crank. It would take alot of cash to upgrade to his crank and rods. TTT for ya...solid deal.

Re: FS: STOUT LTx 383 shortblock with pics...

Thanks man for the kind words. The lowest I am going is 3500.00 I just have way too much money in this motor to go any lower. Whoever purchases this is buying a never fired, strong-as-hell shortblock that can withstand a ton of abuse.

I will just sit on it if need-be.

Re: FS: STOUT LTx 383 shortblock with pics...

All machine work, balancing and assembly was done at G&G Performance Engines in Tomball (just north of Houston) Texas. I dealt with Joe there and I believe he is the owner. The rotating assembly is also internally balanced.

Cam specs are: (I believe this is the specs but I will double check this evening)
244/252 .640 in./.610 ex. (with 1.6 rockers) and 108+4 (112)

The cam is a custom-ground solid-roller from Cam Motions with zero miles.
