I've never personally done it, but if you search on here there are many people who have clearanced the alternator to successfully fit these. Otherwise, you can low-mount the alternator like a lot of folks do. These are not designed specifically for these cars, but they fit the heads just fine, only obstacle is the alternator.

I am getting 1.7 Scorpion RR and they say that some LT1's need to be clearanced for the RR but not all. Will these give me the clearance I need.

 

I can't give you a positive answer, I know they worked just fine with 1.6rr's, don't know what's needed for 1.7's.

Also, just to remind everyone, they DO NOT have a cutout for the factory alternator.
