FS:Modified Turbo Tech single turbo system

Well i have had my fun with this turbo kit and now its time for it to go. its a single Turbonetics 60-1 hi fi turbo with a Mac shorty header on the pass. side and a 3" crossover pipe and a turbo tech manifold on the driver side. it uses a custom from mount Spearco intercooler attached to a frame that replaces the factory bumper bar. it uses a turbonetics delta gate wastegate(5-7 and 9-13# springs included) and a greddy type R adjustable blowoff vlave.
i will have pics hosted by a friend linked tomorrow but i wanted to get this posted up before i went to sleep.
the turbo in the kit blows oil and has a bit of shaft play and will most likely need a rebuild. however that is not why i am selling the kit. im selling the kit and building an all forged 355 for spray and mabey a bigger turbo in the distant future. i have run the kit with FAST engine management for a few months and the kit worked great. made good boost and spooled fast up until the end when it started to blow oil. i think i just needs a restictor put on the feed line to slow the oil flow down a bit and give it time to drian.
the intercooler stays nice and chilly up front and i never had a heating problem.
you will have to buy your own silicone or rubber connection hoses and clamps to go with this kit and possibly exhaust gaskets. i ran summit copper gaskets and the leaked a bit if you didn't keep them tight, most people say the stock style gaskets are the best. and you will have to find a way to tap the pan and run the retun line also. i ran a hose back the my oil level sensor hole and drained it there.

i need to get $2200 shipped for this kit. i will have pics tomorrow.

There's why your leak developed. You have to route the drain ABOVE the level of the oil in the pan. You didn't, and oil was backing up into the turbo housing which blew the shaft seals.

Re: FS:Modified Turbo Tech single turbo system

sorry i was late to reply i have had computer problems and been extremely busy after work the past few nights.
Realquick: i never had it on the dyno but i ran a 5-7 pound waste gate spring and it pulled pretty hard before the turbo let g. we beat a few local ls1s and a few other quick cars on the street but i honestly have no idea what type of power it made. it spooled at about 3000rpm and pulled steady up to red line.

Chris: i realize that now. i thought that levelo of oil in the pan would drop below that point when the engine is running. but that would defeat the purpose of the low oil sensor being there huh? live and learn.

i have the pics on my camera io just need to get them resized and hosted tonight.

Re: FS:Modified Turbo Tech single turbo system

this kit is still for sale at $1800 shipped. driftinsideways never sent any money. this kit prolly won't be relisted anytime soon. i had to pay $54 for the last auction that didn't work and i am afraid to lose anymore money on it.

Re: FS:Modified Turbo Tech single turbo system

I'm the one that had all the stroker LT1 parts. If you are still interested, I would be more than happy to swap with you. Otherwise, please PM me as I would be interested in buying outright. I would drive there to pick it up.

Ryan
