FS: LT4 Dual Mass Damper

Since the LT4 in my C4 blew up, I'm building a new motor, and my LT4 damper isn't going to be enough. More pics of the LT4 here: http://www.mowhineracing.com

So I'm selling my stock LT4 Dual Mass Damper Good shape, worked good, only removed since 383 will get an ATI damper. Great upgrade for LT1's, especially those that rev higher than stock, includes hub.

$100 shipped OBO

Is this the same one that comes on an LT1?

No but they are interchangeable. The LT1 damper is a single mass, the LT4 is a dual mass. The Dual mass does a better job damping higher rpms. (LT4 rev limit is 6300 vs the LT1 5700).

This would be a great upgrade for LT1's that are revving higher than stock. This hub and damper will fit 96-97's directly, or you can use the damper with your hub if you have a 93-95. The early cars don't have the tone ring for the crank position sensor while the later cars do.

The only reason i would need this is because i am using vette accessories, and need to move the damper out. With using my hub from my 94 LT1 and this LT4 damper, will it still move it out, or is it the hub itself that causes the belt to be ran out farther?

Hmm, that is a great question. I have converted to OBDI, so I don't need my reducer wheel. I throw in the reducer wheel for free, so you will have a complete, bolt on setup that will be the proper length for Vette accessories.

Im not exactly sure what a reducer wheel is. I am OBD I also, so i dont know if i could use this?

Just to clarify to make sure we are on the same page. The accessories sit aprox 1 inch further away from the engine with the vette accessories. So either i would need some kid of hub spacer, or just a vette damper
Perhaps with some side shots of the 2 pieces i would be able to tell?

The reducer wheel was added for the OBDII cars. It sits behind the timing cover and actuates the crank position sensor. Even though you don't have a crank position sensor, you can put the reducer wheel on the crank and it will make the damper line up exactly how it is on a Vette. When they added the reducer wheel, they had to shorten the hub to make up for the wheel thickness.

With my damper, hub, and reducer wheel, it WILL work, since it will be exactly how it was installed on my C4.
