FS: LE2 Custom Grind Comp Cam

I do not have many posts here, but I have been on the Impala SS forum for years.

I was going to use this in my 383 stroker swap in my Impala, but I am going a slightly different route based on Lloyds recommendations and the work he did on my heads...

Comp Cams custom grind cam model “LE2.2”. I know that Lloyd protects these numbers. I have the cam card and will provide additional information to “serious” buyers only. Please do not request if you are just “curious” out of respect to LE.

I will say that with 1.6 rockers, it has a .60x lift (intake and exhaust) and 230/230 duration. It has a very low LSA #. If you are still interested in more data, let me know. This IS NOT the standard cam LE has posted on his website.

Cam history (if I remember correctly): It has a total of about 3-4 hours of run time on it and is basically new (flawlwss condition and no wear whatsoever). The PO installed a new 383 and drove it for 1 day before trying to register the car. He could not pass emissions. He pulled the cam and went a different route.

The moral of the story: This is a SMOKIN’ cam, but IS NOT emissions friendly! It will make killer power from 2500 to 6500 RPM. Due to the low LSA, it will chop like a hundred Ginsu chef’s!

I want $160 shipped to lower 48. PayPal preferred. Will ship in next business day after payment.

Thanks,
Tim

Do you still have the cam.. If so is it meant for a stroker or will it work in a stock cube 350 lt1?

I do have the cam. It is not necessarily for a "stroker", but it is definitely not for a stock engine. Would require a substantial build and heavy top end build to support it...

Not sure if this would be your best option or not. Maybe give Lloyd Elliott a call and let him know what you are thinking about. He is working on my heads now.

Also, you would DEFINITELY want to be running an upgraded trans and 3k+ stall (unless you are running a manual trans).

Not sure what springs you are running, but I assume that you might need to upgrade to support this kind of lift. Lloyd recommended that I run the Patriot Gold springs (good for .650). Standard beehives would not be strong enough.

Again, I can't say if it would work for you or not. You need to check and see which springs you are running. It is a BIG cam. You would need to be running a 52mm TB (or a 58mm would be even better).

Let me know. It is packed up and ready to go. Shoot me a PM if you want it. You could always re-sell it for this price if it did not work for you. It is up for sale on the Impala forum too.

Thanks!
Tim

Final bump. $150 shipped to lower 48. This is 50% of new cost.

Will go back on the shelf for later use...

PM if interested.

Thanks,
Tim

One final thing. I would be interested in trading this cam for a set of 3/8" SA Comp Pro Mags!

Thanks,
Tim

And one "final, final' thing. I would also trade this for a GOOD CSR electric water pump setup for an LT1...

Thanks!
