FS: aluminum custom drive shaft 6 speed

I have a custom built aluminum drive shaft out of a 6 speed camaro it will fit 93-02 camaro/ firebird. It was built by Front Range Driveline INC. in Denver CO. I would guess it is a very stout drive shaft. The only thing wrong with it is the car was wrecked and the torque-arm pushed into it and wore a groove into it but looks straight as an arrow. I think some one could just have it welded up and smoothed out and it would be as strong as it was new. The groove in the shaft is only about an 1/8 inch deep. Here are some pics of it http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/435752/3

You sure that's an 1/8th. It doesn't look that deep.

It might only be 1/16 but I know its not any deaper than an 1/8, the groove is consistant all the way around so I dont think the shaft is bent or it would be deaper on one side and shallow on the other. It should be an easy fix.

I'm trying to talk myself into this. Honestly from the pic, it doesn't even look deep enough to be a 1/16th of an inch. Anyone of the opinion that this is something that wouldn't even require repair? That's what I'm thinking from what I can see in that pic.

I had the same thing happen to my 1LE drive shaft...the TQ arm broke and the drive shaft rubbed on the bolt for the parking brake....it made a groove in the shaft 1/4" deep so I pulled it out and took it to a local shop ....nothing was wrong with it and the guys at the shop said that it would be fine to use ...so I still have it and it has held up to many runs on the n2o and tire...
