Some of you and your "factual opinions" are ridiculous.
WS6: Factory RPO code for a suspension package, and in later models, added a ram air hood and badging. This conversion was done by ASC for GM.
WS7: Not a factory RPO for any type of late model Firebird package. This was a marketing package from an aftermarket hood company, which I believe to be Suncoast Creations. They sold you a hood and some graphics, and then you're the proud owner of a WS7 Firebird. There was a GM factory RPO for WS7, but it was from 1976-1985, and consisted of a "HANDLING PACKAGE, SPECIAL".
So, there's nothing wrong with having a "WS7" car. The Hurst Comp TA aren't GM authorized, yet are badass and have their own packages, just as the WS7 does.
