You should clean that up a little if you want to sell it.

yeah, but jees, couldn't you have put the damn auction off for a day to clean it? That's a complete turn off, makes the car look like a piece of junk. I just have to wonder if you haven't bothered to look under the hood or wash the car in the past 3 years or if you drive it on a dirt road everyday, either would be appealing to a car buyer.

What's up man. Me and a buddy used to own a detail shop. If you want to REALLY make that engine look new quick and easy go get some simple green full strength cleaner. Not the autozone pro series stuff, but the full undiluted type in the green bottle. Run the engine to get it nice and warm then spray the hell out of the it with that degreaser . Use alot. Let it sit on there for a while (5-10 mins at least) with the engine warm then spray it all off real well. Then after you spray the motor down spray the motor down with formula 2001 or armor all. Get one of the big spray bottles and dam near use the whole thing. Spray it on there when the engine IS STILL WET FROM RINSING. Then just close the hood and go inside. The water will drip down all over the engine carrying the armor all into every little crack and crevise that you can't reach. When you come out like an hour or so later and pop the hood you'll crap yourself. That engine will look BRAND SPANKING NEW AND SHINE LIKE NO TOMORROW. I wouldn't recommend it on lt1 cars though. The opti just doesn't like that water.
