FS: 12 sec 1994 Formula Ramair only $6500!

This car has many mods and a strong runner! 8.11 through the 1/8 mile. This is roughly 12.67 @ 109 through the quarter.
1994 Firebird Formula, white exterior and gray interior. It is a T-top car. The interior is stock and has a factory CD player. The exterior is stock except for the Suncoast Predator Ramair hood and the 1998 Z28 5 spoke wheels. The tires are Goodyear Eagles and have approximately 5000 miles on them.

The entire drivetrain is fresh and in good shape. The engine has around 5000 miles on it since the rebuild.
The engine has the following mods:
Freshly rebuilt shortblock with std bore and stock 4.000" flat top pistons
Comp Cams 07-305-8 camshaft and double roller timing chain
276/290 220/230 .510/.510 114LS
Ported Factory LT1 heads with fresh valvejob and Comp Cams guideplates, valvesprings, locks and retainers
Comp Cams pushrods
1.5 ratio aluminum roller rockers
Aftermarket airfoil in throttle body
Taylor spiral wound plug wires
Vented Opti Conversion
New OptiSpark distributor
MSD Coil
Ported/Polished MAF
1LE inlet duct
K&N cold air induction
New ceramic coated Pacesetter full length headers.
Flowmaster muffler
Catalytic converter removed
TCI mini starter
CVR electric water pump
New battery

Radiator was rodded out and new end gaskets installed

TCI rebuilt 4L60E transmission and TCI shift kit.
TCI 3000 stall 10" torque converter. The trans and converter have around 6000 miles on them.

Rear gears have recently been replaced with 3.23 gear and a fresh posi unit.

The instrument cluster was replaced with a 155 mph speedo version.

The computer has been reprogrammed to accomodate the 3.23 gears and to eliminate the factory speed limiter.

New brake rotors all around. New inner and outer tie rod ends. One new O2 sensor. New tint on windows. The AC still blows cold. The car runs great and is very strong. Click the link for pics.

formula

I'm located in North Mississippi...approx 45 miles from Memphis, TN. I'm asking $6500.

The heads have been milled a little over .020" as well. The compression is 10.8:1.

Unfortunately, I never had them flowed. I ported them myself. (It's one of the things that I do on the side.) It wasn't an extremely aggressive port job. The intake and exhaust ports were cleaned up. The majority of the work was done blending the bowls and narrowing the valve guide bosses. Call it a Stage 1.5 port job. The drivetrain is in good shape. It's even got a new vented Opti on it now.

There are some cosmetic flaws on the car. There is a small scratch on the driver's side quarter panel, just in front of the fuel tank lid. The headliner is beginning to sag. The factory CD player has seen better days...the volumn control is very fussy.

White97,
Sure we could meet. I'd prefer to sell the car outright, but might consider a trade. What do you have?

I forgot to add that the battery and battery cables are only a few months old. We decided to leave an aftermarket radio in the car, but removed the aftermarket MAF and coil and reinstalled the stock stuff.

The engine gaskets are all Felpro along with a one piece oil pan gasket.

Re: FS: 1994 Formula Ramair w/ many mods!

More new parts added. The transmission pump broke last week, so I installed a new TCI built 4L60E transmission and TCI 3000 stall converter. While I was at it I installed one of TCI's new SFI approved flexplate and an LS1 aluminum driveshaft.

My son and I brought it to the dragstrip last Friday night for his first night of (legal) racing. He ran an 8.11 @ 86 mph (roughly a 12.67 @ 109). The best 60' was 1.78.

All of this new stuff and I'll still take $6500 for it.
