Up for sale is a Forged LS1 shortblock with 350 miles on it. Specs are:

I started with this motor last fall. Ran it though 300 break in miles then made exactly 4 track passes with it. After the track it developed an oil consumpsion issue on the #6 cylinder. The motor went back to the machine shop and something was found to be wrong with the oil control ring and the ring grove for the ring on that piston. Something wasn't machined right on the piston that they didn't catch before. I decided I wanted to play it safe and just paid to have that cylinder honed, a brand new piston & rings installed, and have it properly balanced. Everything should be ready to go again.
The reason I'm selling this is because I want to go back to something much more stock that I could drive across the country if I felt like it. This was just way too roudy for my taste. But for someone wanting to go fast it should be right up their alley. I'm looking to get $4500 for everything together. I would like all of this to go as a whole so please do not ask to separate it. There is over $6K in parts here NOT including the cost of machine work, so I don't think my $4500 asking price is unreasonable. This is located in the Chicago suburbs so local pickup would be preferred. But I'm willing to work with someone on the freight shipping as long as they are willing to pay for it. Thanks!
