f/s or trade 1963 Nova SS street/racecar.

For Sale: 1963 Nova SS street/racecar. The car is backhalfed with full aluminum interior all the way to the front seats and is upholstered, 12 point cage (not certified) and subframe connectors, Ford 9” rear end with Moser 31 spline axles (new), ladder bar suspension (Chassis Engineering) and Detroit locker (new), 4 wheel Aerospace disk brakes (new, $900.00), Weld Alumistars 15x3.5" w/24”x5”x15” Goodyear frontrunners (new), 15”x14”x15” w/screws and w/32”x16”x15” Goodyear’s slicks. The car is setup for BBC (motor and transmission plate included).



The transmission is by Transking and has a full manual valve body and transbrake. Just recently inspected and fluid changed when transbrake was installed. The front-end is a mustang II w/HAL coil-overs and adjustable shocks (new). The radiator is aluminum w/1200cfm pusher fan. The steering is rack & pinion. The master cylinder is for 4 wheel disks and is by MasterPower (new). Also included is a set of new custom fenderwell headers made by Dan Lemons himself ($1,100.00 by itself). The headers include egt bungs and O2 sensor bungs. The headers also have 1 egt probe and gauge installed by Autometer. These headers were recently thermal coated.



The interior is strictly business (non-factory, insulated upholstery) with 2 Jaz racing seats and 5-point RCI racing harnesses. All meters are by Autometer and include the following: In dash “Phantom” tachometer, speedometer, fuel level, voltage meter, oil pressure and water temperature. There is also the following “pro-comp” gauges: fuel pressure w/isolator, EGT and boost. The shifter is a B&M ratchet front exit shifter. The wiring is by Painless Wiring. The ignition system is all MSD with a Digital 6 plus ignition, crank trigger and a crank trigger distributor. The timing set up is via a MSD timing computer #8979 that is programmed through a laptop or pc. Here is MSD’s description:

The Controller lets you adjust the timing of every cylinder, map a complete timing curve, pull timing out during the launch, set rev limits (when used with an MSD Soft Touch Rev Control), shift points, start retard and much, much more.

The exterior is in very nice shape with some dings but nothing major. The Hood is an 6” pin on cowl by Harwood (new, not even painted). I will also include a an 8” pin on cowl by VFN cowl hood. The front and back bumpers as well as the trunk lid are also fiberglass. The trunk lid is a new by Harwood. The trunk area is also aluminum done in finished upholstery with mounting for a nitrous bottle (not included), battery box (by Moroso, included) and fuel pump. The fuel pump/filter are by Product Engineering and (designed to handle up to 2000 horsepower) feature COMPLETE stainless steel braided line from fuel cell to carburetor (This fuel system costs over $800.00). The carburetor is by the Carb Shop and is very trick (over $1,000 by itself).



The engine is a BBC 496" blower/nitrous motor. the block is 4 bolt and clearanced, main studs, head studs, o-ringed on both block & heads. Eagle forged crank, eagle forged h-beam rods, J&E/SRP forged blower pistons, speed-pro rings. Dart pro1 345 ported aluminum heads w/extensive porting on the exhaust side (w/fabricated aluminum valve covers) and gasket matched to edlebrock 454r 4150 manifold. Heads also have Crane gold rockers. Pete Jackson quite gear drive and solid roller crane blower/nitrous cam w/solid roller lifters (also Crane). Assembly is externally balanced and includes a REAL 8" Fluidamper and new blue CSI water pump. Costs over $9500 to build. Also c/r is 8.75:1 for blower. All hoses on this car are braided stainless steel with –an fittings. This motor only has idle time (to break in), has not even been driven. The buyer will need to do some minor carburetor tuning and timing adjustments.



The induction is set up with a ATI D2r Procharger kit with a 15lb boost pulley and a ATI race bypass valve, West Coast Fab carb. hat and all brackets. This also includes custom fabricated aluminum tubing for the blower.
