Re: F: Manual master cylinder/Linelock

Manual brakes: I thought my cam wouldn't have enough vacuum to have power brakes. I'd like to go back to them since my car is more of a street car.

Linelock: I never used it. I am ok with just braking and getting a tiny bit of smoke .

If the line lock comes with the lines, I'm interested.
Let me know.

Just the solenoid and install kit is included. No pre-bent lines.

Re: F: Manual master cylinder/Linelock

Is that an entire bolt-on piece to convert my car to manual brakes, or is there some modification required? Does it come with the adapter bracket and whatever else is needed? If so, I'm interested in it. Would you take $80 shipped for it?

Re: F: Manual master cylinder/Linelock

You must re-bend some brake lines because the stock lines won't reach. However, it includes everything you need to convert. Firewall bracket, master cylinder, pedal shaft, hardware, etc. You have to pull the brake pedal and drill a hole in the pedal body to correct the geometry (I'll supply directions/instructions).

Re: F: Manual master cylinder/Linelock

Is that a GM master cylinder, or something else? Do the threads on it match the ones on your car, stock? I'd be putting it on an '88. What all is needed to install the line lock? Do you put that between the MC and the prop valve (if using stock prop valve) and just put a switch on that wire to 12V?

Re: F: Manual master cylinder/Linelock

That's a Wilwood master cylinder. What threads are you referring to? You won't re-use any hardware from the stock master cylinder.

Linelock works like this: Master cylinder > line lock > Tee/ABS block (if you have ABS).

The wiring is straight forward. Its simply on/off to 12v. I'd use a relay. (Note: Fuse, momentary switch, LED light are included, though they are not pictured).

Re: F: Manual master cylinder/Linelock

The threads on the stock brake lines. Do I need to buy new fittings and re-flare the lines?

Re: F: Manual master cylinder/Linelock

You will need to fabricate and flare all of the brake lines. To be honest, unless you know what you are getting into you probbaly should not look to manual brakes for any street duty. I'd love to sell this master cylinder and get rid of it, but its a race item for sure.
