Elemental Designs E8A Subwoofer
This is a brand new Elemental designs E8A 8" subwoofer, it has NEVER even been used I got an e12a instead. It retailed for $185 PLUS shipping and now can be had for much less. I'm looking for $140 shipped and am firm. The sub comes in the original packaging with ALL materials that ED would supply.

Just to let you ppl know the new Elemental E series are bad ***... my brother has one ED15a in his 5.0 and it sounds crazy. You should post some info on the sub because I doubt people even know what caliber it is or that it's flat piston or anything. Hell if you don't know stereo **** they wouldn't even know it's a sub by the subject.

General Overview
The A-Series was designed with pure and total performance in mind. No holds barred. The A-Series drivers are among the worlds highest linear excursion drivers anywhere in the world, for any price. Just so happens they don't carry the 'you can buy a car with this much money' price tag.
Elemental Designs is again, without question striving to deliver a stellar product. The 8" is the smallest of our A - Series offerings but employs the same awesome performance of the other drivers.
The e8A uses a new suspension system that is new to us at eD. Using a incredibly sturdy dual suspension on a 8" speaker. Dual linear image 6.5" spiders offer tons of strength. Suspension break up in during high excursion transient transitions is non existent, as well as being designed to achieve incredible motor linearity (does not lose BL) through the usable subwoofer range resulting in incredible SQ performance.
The 8" uses a aluminum former and aluminum cooling ring allowing for greater heat dissipation meaning less distortion and cleaner reproduction. The flat diaphragm allows a stronger, lighter alternative to your traditional cone as well as eliminating the type of distortion that can result from your typical high excursion concave speaker where break up may occur due to the cone actually making contact with the spider assembly and impeding excursion (as well as causing a extremely unsavory sound from the driver). Also a Elemental Designs standard, woven tinsel leads. This feature avoids numerous potential problems with traditional leads altogether, including the annoying and popular problem of tinsel slap. We've also taken into account BL linearity and driver distortion and spent countless hours tweaking the A drivers to deliver low distortion, high control transients.
Our customer base asked for a higher performance 8" driver than was currently available for them. A few months later prototyping was finished and the production units were getting ready to roll out. The result from customer driven production has been a product we are extremely proud to be offering. A 8" driver that works in INSANELY small boxes (.25cF sealed) and can be put in vented enclosure and sound wonderful, while having more output than many 12" drivers in it's price range.
