I bought this to tune my car and that is all I cared about
I LISTED THIS AS A TUNING LAPTOP
The tag on the laptop said Pent 3

Now oldschoolss is accusing me of interstate fraud.
He says it's a Pent 2.
I don't know but he wants me to refund his money and he'll send the laptop back.

Do you think he might have copied my programs and tuning files and now wants to send it back?
Could this be possible?

Why not take it back and split the shipping costs. You'll make him happy, and if it's such a good deal, you will have no problem selling it again. If your worried about your good name, it might be the right thing to do.

 

I say you charge him for the software on the laptop & get your laptop back & refund him for that, too bad if its not worth it for him, I think its only fair, especially if you said "tunning laptop" as the word says, I'm using a celleron 650 & its WAYYYYYYY more then I need. Like I said, charge him for the software, I say its his responisbility to double check what he's buying, IE, ask for a "PRINT SCREEN" of your "system properties" window etc...

BTW, I belive its Gateway that shipped many celeron equiped laptops with a "Pentium 3" sticker, people would pay for the celeron & get it but the stickers never changed I belive. So its definetly his responsibility to check.

This is absurd. Who would pay for shipping a laptop twice, just for your programs? If we follow the logic and assume that he did, how are you out any money when you can just resell the laptop?

 

I don't know, needless to say the laptop was basicly free since LT1 edit cost almost that much doesn't it?

BTW on the other page a bunch of guys asked how he cracked LT1_edit? LOL all he did is send the guy his PCM tune with laptop, then you can use LT1 edit for the tune, edit it & use Tunercat to upload the file, so everytime you adjust in LT1_edit & upload with tunercat, you just can't download the file back from the PCM cuz the PCM changes the VIN automatically when the tune goes in

BTW reading all those posts I have a feeling you knew it wasn't a P3, but the price is right still. What speed is it though?

The difference between a pentium II and a pentium III is a lot. You can't just throw a set of SS badges on a v6 and hold the buyer responsible for not checking...

The version of lt1 edit is vin locked he told me he had a way to get around it. He told me if I chose to use it that I just modify the file save in lt1 edit save it as a bin and transfer it using tunercat. Here's the kicker the lt1edit program isn't even his version he got it from somebody else and was doing it that way. I'm not trying to scam anybody. Here is proof.

This was sent to me the day I bought the laptop before it even was shipped to me if I wanted to scam somebody I would just copy the software and sell it to him. But there is one thing that seperates me from black cloud and that is that I have integrity and am not going to screw a fellow cz28.com member of anyone for that fact. Hell I would have made 75 dollars selling it to 19-CamaroZ28-97 and I could have kept a copy of the software too.
