Currie built custom Housing and axle package for a 82-02 Camaro, Firebird, Trans Am, Firehawk, WS6, SS. You get the the housing, with the correct brackets and torque arm mount, spring perches to bolt it right into your car. The housing is the stock width and uses all the stock suspension mounting points and will accept any stock or aftermarket replacement suspension componets.

It includes 31 spline Currie hardened axles, with new wheel studs already installed, (Std 1/2") the axle bearings, and the "wedding bands" that ensure the bearing stays locked on the axle. The bearing retainer plates, torque arm mount and the required hardware to mount the torque arm bracket to the housing. The housing has the big ford ends welded onto it with new inner seals installed. You will need to modify your brake hardware to use the stock brakes, or get a set of brake brackets from Currie at a reasonable cost. This does not come with a center section and is all NEW parts.
I am looking to get $800 for it, I paid over $900 for it.
I also have the parts to put a center together if someone is interested also.

This is the way to go. For a while there was some guy selling used 31 spline 3.50 posi 9inch rears on ebay for $150. You could have you a whole 9 in for 1000 bucks.

I also have a strange race case. a 9+ street case, a HD agressive clutch type posi, a spool, 2 daytona pinion supports, a forged yoke, and 2 bearing kits. I hadnt really thought of selling that but if someone needs it I gues I can make a package deal. Not a big deal as I can use some of the stuff for my next project.
