Complete ATI th400 set-up, 1400 hp capable

have decided to de-tune/de-mod some aspects of my car. So, I'm selling the 1400HP capable ATI TH400 setup. Here are the details:

ATI s/n 12763
Description: HD1400 (rated for 1400HP)
Extreme Duty, p/n 401603
Additional Intermediate clutches
HD Center Support
Lightened Drum
External Cooler
Polymer graphite seals
403081 Griner Billet Pro Trans Brake
Vasco-Jet hardened Input Shaft
HD Deep Cast Aluminum Pan
2.75 Low Gear Planetary

This tranny was originally built for a 468 Alcohol Injected BBC in a dragster. After deciding to switch to a "Glide", the TH400 found a home in my 9 second Z28. So, it has had pretty light duty...and I freshened it before going into my car. Seriously, it has had about 25 passes...that's it!

When I checked the website earlier this year, this tranny was selling for $3,358. That does not include the 2.75 low gear planetary added later. Planetary is another $600. (also includes stock 2.48 planetary...you can sell). The GRINER pro billet brake is the quickest releasing Pro Brake in the industry. This T-brake is $700. Also, cast aluminum pan is another $150 adder which wasn't part of the above price (you can have the stamped steel pan as well). As setup, the tranny would be well over $4000 today.
Compare to p/n 401606 $5100...which essentially in my tranny with a 2.10 planetary (where I have a 2.75) Also, there is a $250 core charge from ATI...even on these high dollar transmissions.

To compliment the TH400 I have a Neal Chance converter (best in the industry). After trying Pecision and Yank I finally bought a "real" converter...no offense to anyone Stage 2, Steel Stator, Race Converter (not street converter). Item 3409, s/n 5123. This converter is capable of handling trans brake, nitrous, blower, turbo...whatever. This converter will handle power-plants up to 1000 hp. It stalls approximately 4800 behind my 625HP LT1...on the brake. I have receipt, box, decals, etc. It cost a cool $1000! In the words of Marty Chance..."it hits like the hammer of GOD"
