Would this be a good nos cam? Is it too big for a stock motor car? Will be porting the heads this winter and getting long tubes in the spring

 

Well if you are going to install a cam, and then port your heads realitively soon, i would wait and do it all at the same time. That would be SO much easier.

The only thing you would need for the cam that your car dosent already have are new vavle springs that can handle the extra lift of the cc306. I assume when you port the heads you would have those installed anyway. Any cam you want is gonna need new springs.

I belive many people have had sucsess using the 306 with nitrious. The 306 has a large exhasut duraation and that works well with n2o. The only downside is the 112 lobe seperation angle. This will allow some nitrious to pass throufh the engine without being burnt. I would do a seach on these issue to get some more info, i am not an expert.

Over all i think you would like the 306, i liked it, i would have liked it much more if i had 3:73 and a 3800 stall converter like you. It makes insane amounts of power up top, the car pulled liek i had a turbo.

oh yeah...I wasn't gonna install the cam until I did the heads. No since in doing it twice. Let me do some research on the cam with nos and if it will be okay then I will take it off your hands.
