I bought some rockers from chris that were supposed to be used and ground down for clearance, not a big deal. Turns out when I get them there are four of them that you can't even turn the roller tip on. The bushings on the roller tip of about twelve of them are melted down to the roller itself and the body of the rockers were eaten up outside the roller tip. About four or five of them also have gouges on the pushrod side because the pushrods came out of their seats and rode on the body of the rocker. When I contacted him the one time he responded he said, "I told you they were ground down". I wouldn't buy a thing from this guy in the future and I hope nobody else does either.

Sorry to hear about that. I think he should do the right thing and refund you your money. Can you take some pics of your rockers? My rockers had to be ground for the same reason but I have never had an issue like you describe.

Man he must have got hungry before he shipped them out. He needs to give you your money back.

 

Damn... He had no business putting them up for sale - they belong in the trash. Why someone would try to sell unusable garbage like that is beyond me...

 

That is why I always ask for pictures first, that kid needs to find another mechanic or stop doing the work himself , those are aweful , personally it sounds to me like he needs a lesson on how not to screw people. If you catch my drift.
