Another one screwed by Tom Connell!

Yes, I was screwed by Ton Connell! I purchased a front LS1 brake kit from him months ago while I was in Japan. I made the deal right when all the crap with him started going on. He assured me that everything was all good, so I went on with the deal. I told him I was in Japan on Military duty and would not be home until January to install the brakes. I asked if the spindles were good and he assured me they were. I had them shipped to my father, who took and had them Powdercoated by a friend before I got home and dropped them off here so I could put them on when I got home. Well, the calipers were no good, so I had to buy new ones. No big deal, I was kinda expecting that.....I put the Brakes on last week and was ready to roll when i noticed the Toe on my car was completely screwed! I looked at the spindles now that they were installed and noticed the Tie rod attatchment area on the right side was closer to the rotor than on the left side. I took it to the alignment shop today and they confirmed to me that I have bad parts!!! Here is the newest correspondence with tom as of today:

Tom, while I was in Japan I purchased an LS1 front brake setup form you (I paid you and recieved the setup in September). I returned back home from Japan a month ago. My dad had the spindles powdercoated and everything while I was still away and I just put the brakes on last week. I noticed a serious alignment problem right away and just got back from the front end shop this
morning. THEY CANNOT ALIGN THE CAR, BECAUSE THE SPINDLES ARE BENT!!!! You can see in the e mail that I received from you below that you told me they were not bent. I would love for you to make this right with me if you could. Please get back with me ASAP!

Tom's response:
If this was a problem even two weeks after I sold them to you, I'd have replaced them, no questions asked.. But it's been 4 months. How do I know you didn't put them on the car and hit something. I'm sorry, but I can't help you. They were 100% perfect and straight. Perhaps the shop screwed something up.
Hmmmm....sounds like he does not want to help out here....so I responded again, keeping my cool:
Man, I am not trying to be a dick, but when I purchased them I told you I was in Japan because I am in the Marine Corps and that I would not be back until January....IT IS JANUARY! I cannot put them on the car and drive it from the other side of the world. I dont know what shop would have screwed them up when I Did the work myself (other than the Powdercoating, which was done by a good friend of mine while my father stood there talking to him!). Obviously you are not going to Fix this.....that is kinda messed up.
And tom again:
How it is messed up? I sold perfectly good parts. It's 4 months later and now you have a problem? I don't know what those parts have gone through between then & now. I'm sorry, but I just can't help you at this point.
LOL...now i am angry.....so I say:
Damn, you are a loser. I always thought our dealings were good...until now. I am sure you sold the parts without ever even seeing them. It was no big deal to me, as long as you were going to stand by your word. Obviously you are not going to. of course i just have the problem after 4 months, the brakes just went on the car because i was in another country (i can show you
a goddamn military service report showing I was in japan until just recently, as I said). If i would have been in the USA and put them on right when they got here, I would have had the problem them. how are they (the parts) messed up, you ask? how about maybe 1/2 inch of clearance between rotor and Spindle on one side and 3/4 of an inch on the other! you can look at the parts and see that they have just been installed because they are perfect....no biggie, i guess i just got scammed like so many of your other 'customers'. I dont know what made me think i would be the exception.
And Toms Response (last one):
Name calling will not get you anywhere. No need for that. Go ahead and buy something like this from a vender. I bet after 4 months they will tell you the same thing. Since you were overseas you should've had someone else check them over. I would have stood by my word, but you can't expect anyone to really do anything after FOUR MONTHS! I don't know who has
handles the brakes or where they have been in the 4 months. As I said, they were 100% perfect when shipped to you. You weren't "scammed" and you know it. Have a good one and good luck.
Lets see if he responds to this....

The time frame makes no difference and he knows it. If you would have been stateside and noticed the problem right away he would have made excuses then, too. He likely would have said they must have been damaged in shipping and refused to do anything. Check your state laws on the statute of limitations for fraud. Odds are it's longer than four months.

Yeah, buddy you are not the only one.

Yeah, I can understand that is has been 4 months. If it was anyone else, it would have been different but ol' Tom has had this problem more than once. He has a track record of selling CRAPPY parts that aren't even in his posession. GEE...what do you know?!? ANOTHER problem with someone dealing with him. What are the odds? The issue is NOT 4 months. The issue is that this has happened MANY times before.

AND of COURSE it is not his fault. It NEVER is. Look at all his other "customers" who sent him money in good faith that were disappointed. Did you see Tom bending over backwards to make things right? NO. Did you see Tom even make ANY apologies for the problems his "customer" went through? NO. You know why! Because he "didn't do anything wrong". He NEVER does. I guess that is what people say when they have a pocket full of someone else's money and can hide behind dozens of user names behind a computer in a sea of traliers in a trailer park.

Here's the SAME OLD STORY from our old friend TOM CONNELL, time and time again!!!

Sooner or later this AZZHOLE'S SCAMS are going to catch up with him. He better not be back here again or I'll hunt him down again like the greasy scamming bastard he is and expose him again. As if his name is not mud as it is.

I am pretty sure he was on here as Slomofo when I bought the Brakes. I am almost positive that is the name he was using.

I can't wait for someone to catch this guy. If it hadn't been for the people on this board telling everyone what he does i would have gotten scammed too! A while back I was a click away from ordering from him off of ebay when i saw a post in here.

Sorry to hear about Tom screwing you man, like it has been said even if you would have been here he would have just made an excuse!!
