Airborn Coated Edelbrock TES Headers/ OVC MSD 8.5MM SC 32129 & Moroso Looms

Edelbrock TES Headers model number 6894 with the Ceramic Aluminum Coating, Inside and Out, from Airborn Coatings Inc. These are the headers that were rated the best choice 50 state legal after GM High Tech's LT1 Shootout. I bought these for my 95 Trans AM and sent them out to get coated at Airborn, I never got around to putting these on and I just sold the car, so I have no need for them now. they are made for 94-95 Single Cat LT1 F-bodies. ASKING $300.00 Shipping will be around 35 dollars to anywhere in the US, I will charge you exact shipping but expect it to be around there. I accept paypal and money orders only, paypal payments will be charged a 3% fee to cover the payment fee

I also have the matching TES system Y-pipe I ordered from summit, I will sell it to you for the retail price of [B]125.99 Plus exact Shipping

MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor OVC wire kit 32129, Moroso Wire Looms

i dont know, but if this were abotu 100$ cheaper shipped i would consider it. But for 425 plus shipping I can get a set of Long Tubes and Y-Pipe Shipped from someone on this board. Hookers seem to run 300$ and 100 for the y-pipe...

I cannot go cheaper than 425, I really dont want to loose money and I feel like that is a very fair price, these have never been mounted and are aluminum ceramic coated inside and out by Airborn, not some cheap factory coating that is going to discolor and flake. We all know how FUN it is to do headers on these cars so I dont think you want to do it more than once. 325 I would be giving them away.

You figure you buy some quality headers and y-pipe for a minimum of 300 bucks, then youd be spending 200 to coat them that would equal 500 bucks, I just dont see how 425 is too much....

Just wanted to bring this up, someone brought to my attention that summit had headers like these for 450, with their Ti-tech coating, and ONLY coated on the outside. Summit also has a set of identical ones but with CERAMIC coating, again ONLY on the outside, those are 533

Here is some info from one of the F-Body Scientists on the net

"Coating the inside is a critical part of the thermal barrier coatings. Outfits like Airborn, Jet Hot and Swain coat both the inner and outer surfaces.

The inner thermal barrier coat reflects the heat back into the exhaust gasses. That keeps the exhaust gasses hot, increasing scavenging and making a little more power. It also keeps the tube metal temperature cooler, reducing thermal stresses and cracking due to heat cycling. Two layers, inside and out, will help keep the under hood temperatures lower and prolong the lives of all your under hood parts."

There are many stories of factory and even Jet Hot coatings flaking/chalking/rusting/discoloring and burning wires and leaving people on the freeway then having to take the headers off and send them back under warranty only to go through it all over again.

I have heard nothing but excellent experiences with Airborn, thats why I chose them, Maybe now you can understand why I think 425 is fair
