I don't have any pics. I can try to take some over the weekend. As I said, the intake base is brand new. I bought it from Sallee Chevrolet in a clearance bin sale last summer. I paid $350.00 on sale, and the original price was close to $500.00. My understanding is that its now discontinued, though the upper plenum and runners are still available. Basically its the lower intake orginally designed for '85-'92 TPI engines, modified by Accel to fit the LT1. You have to fabricate covers for the thermostat housing and distributor hole, as well as plug some coolant passages in the front of the manifold. I was orginally going to run the Super Ram intake and matching camshaft but was put off by the price of the system and its incompatability with the LT4 heads. I also havve the Lingenfelter cam intended for the Super Ram if anyone's interested ($100.00, plus 15.00 shipping).
I've wanted one of those intakes for my car for a long time, and I was about to jump all over this. However, for this manifold to fit the LT1 in a 4th gen car , you also need the plenum for it (it's probably no longer available either) because it's made shorter than the "normal" one to fit under the cowl. This seems like it would be a good deal for the person who has the LT1 in say, a 3rd gen car and wanted the vastly improved torque characteristics of this manifold. TTT for you....
Onebadponcho is correct about the need for a shortened plenum on 4th gen F-bodies. The part number he's referring to is ACC 74196F, which is the 4th gen plenum and runners. I spoke with Turbo People and they claimed they could still obtain the parts. They quoted me a cost of $875.00, which I thought was too much. They also said they could ship the parts within two weeks. I didn't follow through on the order, so I can only relate what I was told.
This was a few months ago, you may want to contact them to see if they still can obtain the plenum and runners. Summit Racing was also able to special order the items. You can contact Accel's DFI tech line and ask about the availability of the upper intake set.
If anyone is uncertain about the effort required to run the Super Ram on a 4th gen F-body, I would refer them to John Lingenfelter's book on building the Chevrolet v-8. He has a number of installation photos and details concerning the modifications required to fit the intake to 4th gen cars. There are also installation instructions for the Super Ram available on the web.
