I would just do what I "needed" (crank, cam, bearings, might as well do pistons & rings while I'm there) The parts aren't really what i was wondering about, it was the machining that is usually required when something like this happens.

I think the odo reads around 127k miles. It was running 3.42 gears on a 2.73 calibration for a long time so the actual mileage is probably less than that.
