Many of the internals of the 4l60e and 700r4 are interchangeable. Main difference is the solenoid controlled valve body. Neither one is very performance oriented til you spend a LOT of money...

I'm in Channelview now, but I'll be back home in Bastrop at the beginning of March. I'm looking for a T56 for my LT1 swap. I've got a built 700R4 with shift kit and 'Vette Servo in my car now. I'd be more than willing to trade my 700R4 for your T56! What's the condition of the T56?
