Here are Items the car needs fixed
When the Engine was built by Automotive Industrial, they built just the small block, not the long block, so when they put the oil pan and front timing chain cover on they did not torque them to specs, they just put them on enough to hold them on, and did not tell me that. So I put everything else together and the timing chain cover or oil pan was never torqued. For the first 5,000 miles it never leaked oil, but over time due to the cover not being torqued down properly the gasket became oil soaked and started to leak oil. I tightened everything to spec, but the gasked was ruined and needs replaced. SO the timing chain cover gasket needs to be replaced (this is a $300-400.00 job at the dealership at $75.00hr). I just paid to have the oil pan gasket replaced and torqued down to proper specs at Middletown Chevrolet a month ago. The only gaskets you will need to have replaced are the Timing Chain Cover.

In order to run the A/C you will need to remove the under drive pulleys or install the under drive alternator pulley. The alternator uses an over drive pulley to keep the alternator charging properly and makes the belt smaller and once the AC compressor engages the belt starts to squeak. I just use the T-Tops as my AC.

To get this car in TIP TOP mechanical running condition it will cost approx $350-$450.00 or a weekend in your driveway. The price has been discounted A LOT to compensate the repairs.

The paint on the front needs a little work; there are no damages/cracks/gouges in the bumper cover just paint cosmetic. The front bumper cover needs painted blended with the hood and fenders. I had this job quoted at a body shop for $189.99. I have sprayed some of the areas with touch up paint. The door molds need to be repainted also due to some oxidation. The body would have done this for an extra $50 bucks. The car is also priced to compensate for the paint cosmetics. For $479.00 Maco will paint the entire car, including prep and clear coat.

Information

Considering that the car has a lot of modified parts, how streetable is the car? Besides the timing chain gasket being defective, is there any other problems with the car? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the second reply, but I am curious why you are selling the vehicle. The engine was recently rebuilt so I would suspect you wanted to keep the car.

The reason I am selling the car is because it really doesn't get used much anymore (maybe gets 2 hundred miles a month). I just don't have the time to replace the gasket and get the car painted. Plus I am purchasing a new boat and can't afford to keep the car and the boat at the same time.Operating Redline Performance is a 12 hour a day job. There is just no time.

I still owe the asking price on the car to the bank, so I am trying to get rid of a car payment and insurance.

This car is very streetable due to really good programming and the fact that the cam isn't too big to not be streetable. The car has never been to the track. But I have spanked the hell out of people that constantly run 12.7's at the track.

The only other thing I can think of that I didn't say, is the transmission mount is a solid mount so the car picks up a lot of extra vibrations. I do have a 1LE mount that is brand new that I will give to the purchaser of the car for free.

I am interested in the car and would like to discuss details further and possibly take a look at the car. Where in Maryland are you located? My e-mail is derrick.hensel@villanova.edu. Can you also send me pictures if you have any on hand. Thanks again.

The car should make it to Wisconsin just fine, you might need to throw a quart of oil in the car sometime during the trip.

I will pay 40% of the cost of shipping if you pay the $3,799

I forgot to mention that the EGR and the AIR have been blocked off on this car. If you want the or EGR you must hook it back up.

If you want to pass inspection in Maryalnd and a lot of emissions states, you can

1- find someone who will give you an inspection certificate for a bribe.. usually costs you a hundred bucks

2-find an AIR pump on Ebay for 20 bucks and make it look like the AIR is still intact.

The EGR isn't a big deal because you all know as well as I do, its a beeatch to get back to view the EGR..

I got the bribe down to a perfection. Jersey isn't too happy when your car is off the charts for emission.

Re: 95 Camaro Z28-TTops- For Sale

I got your PMs

Please be advised that I have about 25 responses on this car, I will get back to everyone.

I am not taking any deposits on the car to hold it. It needs to be sold asap. This car is being sold to the first person that comes up with the money in my hand. I cannot hold this car for anyone who says that they'll come up with the money in a few weeks or month. I have been through the deposit thing ebfore and it gets ugly. Sorry but first come first sold.

There are now pictures on our website.. www.rpeperformance.com
