93 LT1 22K Opti, Water Pump, PS Pump, and AC Compressor
93 LT1 22K Opti, Water Pump, PS Pump, and AC Compressor
Hey guys, last fall, I blew a head gasket in my 95 Camaro due to a failed water pump. My tach had been failing and jumping, so I figured I would replace the head gaskets, water pump, opti, and timing chain all at once. Well, I bought all new parts, put the engine back together and spun a main bearing two days later due to the antifreeze being in the oil.
Well, one of my buddies told me about this guy who had an LT1 he was going to transplant into a Suzuki Samarui, but he'd had it for almost a year and hadn't started on it yet. Anyway, the engine had been caught on fire...the injectors and wiring harness were melted and laying on top of the intake...the valve covers were semi-scorched etc. The guy said the engine had 22K miles on it. Apparantly another guy bought a parts car at an auction and only needed the tranny...so he sold the engine. Anyway, I figured I could buy this low mileage engine for less than I could rebuild mine and have my car back on the road in a lot less time, regardless of the mileage on the engine. I decided to swap my intake, because the fuel rails and emmissions were slightly different. When I had the intake off of my 95 engine, the bottom of the intake was brown and the inside of the lifter valley was slighty varnished...light brown in color...it had 86K miles on it...Well, I pulled the intake off of the 93 engine and it was silver inside the valley pan and the bottom of the intake had no varnish on it whatsoever. There was a LITTLE bit of ash and stuff in the oil pan so I put an oil pump in it...and I decided to swap my Opti, water pump, and timing set over to the 93 engine since it all was BRAND new. Had to swap the cam too.
Anyway, what I'm basically trying to say is that I've got a 93 non-vented opti, water pump, ps pump and ac compressor with LOW mileage on all. The opti and water pump had soot on them...I cleaned the opti with a cloth moistened with electrical cleaner and it looked great. I decided to keep all of these for spares...sold the block, heads and intake to a guy who was going to rebuild the engine and drop it into a 97 S-10. Anyway, I've started another project and need money. I'd like to pass these items on to somebody who needs them and make a little money in the process.
If anybody's interested, email me @ EuroticCustoms@aol.com with offers, questions, or for pics. Once we decide on a price, I'll set up an eBay auction with a Buy It Now set to that price.
Thanks,
Paul Groah
