I dont have to worry about shipping since he's only an hour away from me!!
Yep, there is NO fitment issues. They fit perfectly. My Outlaw Warbird hood should be coming in next week.

Post lots of pictures I'll be getting mine soon hopefully. I got undercutted $130 on my paycheck so now I gotta wait until about Wednesday to get it.... a little bit pissed off about that, but **** happens.

Steve

ps: Shipping of the hoods is done by freight collect, so there is no way that they make money from the shipping.

ttt...still got it....
I wasn't getting snooty with anyone, just stating what I have learned in the last few months when dealing with different vendors and companies about hoods, airboxes, and engine parts. If you know of a company that isn't making a little extra on their shipping, that's great. I have seen hoods like mine that are in not as nice shape go for $100 more than I am asking for mine....

What I was saying was that US Exotics ships through an independent company from my understanding. There is no way they could make a cent on shipping. It's not like ebay where someone charges $20 shipping for a cd. The hood is shipped freight collect, so the company shipping the hood decides pricing.

Chad,
I can't get my hands on a digital camera to get pics....I can deliver it to you for $500 though....it is in good condition....the only flaws are the swirl marks in the paint where the previous owner waxed with a dirty buff cloth....let me know....I don't think you'll be disappointed for $500 delivered.

Or for not reading the posts. Doesn't take much to infer that the hood isn't aftermarket.

ps: I wasn't trying to say $500 is too much for the hood. I was only stating that a person can get a much better looking hood for only $595 + shipping.
Opinions are like spark plugs. Some people don't know which ones to stick in so that things don't get foul.

I think you need to not get ego-injured when you've come into a thread to do nothing but cause havoc by not educating yourself by reading prior posts.

pss: Fitment? Isn't that term used for cabinets and home furnishings? I don't see the word's relevance in your statement...
Try learning how fitment is defined. It's entirely applicable to what he said.

fitment: any of the items furnishing or equipping a room (especially built-in furniture); ex. "the kitchen fitments are blue"; equipment

........

"I think you need to not get ego-injured when you've come into a thread to do nothing but cause havoc by not educating yourself by reading prior posts."

Please explain yourself. I do not need to read prior posts when I have spoken with Roger from U.S. Exotics personally about the hood and the quality of the hood. I don't see how I have "come into this thread to cause havoc by not educating (myself) by reading prior posts."

Also, this is a dead issue and did not need to be brought up by a person with no affiliation to the initial argument. In other words: Mind your business please.

That is all.

Very good with the copy/paste.

Here's the one you failed to include:
fitment

\Fit"ment\, n. The act of fitting; that which is proper or becoming; equipment.

Did you think you made yourself appear intelligent by posting 50% of what dictionary.com lists?

You need to read prior posts when you proceed to ask a question which has already been answered.

Your sole purpose in posting seemed to be to advertise for a hood made by another company. That's about as rude as they come, not to mention basically just trolling. Posting in someones thread just to detract attention from their item because you like another products looks better is just plain inconsiderate.

You should take your own advice and not try & get into other peoples sales.

That is all I need to say. Your own posts make you look bad, newbie.

The hoods sold by GM have the same design as the Suncoast Creations WS6-style hood and the SLP Ram-Air H.O. hood. Both can be mistakenly called "WS6" hood. So, to keep any possible buyers from being confused, I wanted this to be clarified.

I was NOT trying to detract attention from his item. I was merely stating alternatives that some people might not know about. If you would like to continue this argument, PM me. I am tired of coming back to this old post to argue a point that is self-explanatory.

ps: I have twice as many posts as you do and have been checking this forum for very well over a year. I don't see how you can call me a newbie.

Again. If you would like to continue this trite conversation, send me a PM and I'll get back to you tomorrow morning.

I thought this was the for sale forum. If that's the case then your intrusion is rude. If this is the lounge then please continue. If this is appearance then show me where someone asked for you to explain the differences in these hoods. Please school me.

Thanks for the explanations/clarification/discussion from everyone. In my experience, and others may have different opinions, a WS6 HOOD, if listed as such, would imply or infer that the hood in question is a GM hood. A FIREHAWK hood, if listed as such, would imply that the hood is an SLP product. It has been my experience that those who are selling Suncoast or ASCD or some other aftemarket manufacturer, list them as so. I'm sorry if there was any confusion or misinterpretation. I mistakenly assumed that we were all on the same train of thought with that thinking.
Also, transamdude95, you may not have meant any harm in your initial post, but it is very easy to **** on someone's For Sale section post by mentioning things such as "so and so makes a superior whatever, and they don't do this or that when they sell it so they are a better deal, and theirs looks better anyway". I'm assuming you didn't intend to **** in my post, but it could easily be interpreted that way.
If I'm not mistaken, the gentleman's agreement we all have is, If you're not posting a positive comment about the seller or the seller's item(s), or posting your interest in buying/trading for the seller's item, unwarranted comments should be kept to yourself. I don't know for sure if that's written anywhere, I could be wrong, but that has always been my understanding regarding the For Sale section in particular.....
All that being said,
TTT....the hood is still available, and must be sold before the new hood arrives or my wife is going to have kittens all over the place!! Make me an offer!!!
