84 Vette Project $3,500 (Michigan)
84 Vette Project $3,500 (Michigan)
It is in pretty rough shape. I have a bunch of new parts for it. Trans leaks pretty bad, but works when full. Motor runs. I have a new front bumper and some of the weatherstrip pieces. I have at one newer (1989) window regulators. Car is Black and had a Saddle interior. I do have (2) brand new door panels and brand new plastics for the inside, including dash plastics and sills.

Defintely needs all new weather stripping although I do have brand new outer door dweeps. Car has no carpet. Have BRAND NEW deluxe door panels including all switches, lights and lenses. BRAND NEW interior dash and console plastics, including passenger side flat panel (instead of bread loaf crash pad), BRAND NEW shifter **** and button. BRAND NEW rear hatch plastics. I have 2 sets of seats (only one set of seat frames) which are usable, however not perfect. Will need headliner for solid top (I have a BRAND NEW one somewhere, but cannot find right now). BRAND NEW door sills and pads. I was collecting the parts to make the car appear new again, but I do not have the time anymore. All of these parts are sitting in my office and go with the car. I paid over $1,500 just for the new parts. The Bose stereo system is gone out of it as the system sucked anyway (I was planning on putting a real system into it). The interior is mostly out of it now as I do not want to put in with the bad weather stripping. I have a replacement window regulator and motor (I think passenger side) from a later model Vette (does not have the ribbon - all gears for quicker up/down)
As far as the frame and suspension go, I really do not know. I only drove the car for about a mile before I started working on it. I have not gotten up underneath to check everything out. It did appear to be OK in the short ride I took. It has the Z-51 suspension, which is very hard. In 1984 they offered to regular and the z-51 suspension, in 1985 the regular suspension of the 1984 became the z-51 for 1985. I believe the 1984 Z-51 Corvette was the only production car at this time to pull over 1g on the skid pad. (if I am mistaken, I am sorry - please do not flame).
Motor runs well (not great) and appears to be pretty strong. Car has about 180,000 miles on it, I do not know if the motor or tranny were ever rebuilt. All parts appear to be there from the Cross Fire Injection.
Front bumper is lightly damaged and I have a BRAND NEW OEM Bumper cover to replace it. Driver door handle is broken (also have BRAND NEW replacements). Have BRAND NEW fog light for driver side (front end damage also broke fog light). It appears the bumper may have been backed into from the damage. Both headlights work and flip up.
Tires are pretty bald and wheels are 9" all the way around (stock 1984 Z-51 wheels.
I can have delivered in the Detroit metro area.
Asking $3,500 (or make a REASONABLE offer) Thanks
