'71 Firebird Formula 400 FS/FT

Well, my car sold on ebay, I had an agreement with someone then they backed out. My Formula is for sale or trade for something interesting.
Here is the lowdown

This is a '71 Firebird Formula, with a 400 CI pontiac engine. This is the original numbers matching engine and transmission. The engine has a slight cam, and edelbrock intake and carberator. Also Chrome air filter and Moroso valve covers. Automatic TH400 Trans, that has just been freshened, new derale aluminum pan with built in cooling fins. There is also an additional trans cooler and a new "B&M" Megashifter with a chrome button handle. The car has a 10 Bolt rear with 4.10 gears and a posi. Holley "red" fuel pump, line locks and a set of subframe connectors. Runs and shifts great. I have recently added an Autometer Tach with a shiftlight.

Re: '71 Firebird Formula 400 FS/FT

Now here is the condition of the car

Body- Has some rust in the usual spots, the worst parts being the passenger side quarter panel, the panel under the taillights and the drivers side door. As you can see in the pics, the quarter will probably need replaced, but may just ned a patch panel. The drivers side door is rusted pretty bad in the bottom corner, but i am including a replacement door that will just need prepped and painted with the car. The panel under the taillights is rusted, and someone tried to put a "band-aid" over it with sheetmetal. The rest of the car is pretty straight, but will also need the rocker panels under the door. You can get theses for 38 dollars a piece from any of the big resto companies. Both front fenders have small quarter sized rust spots that will need a little attention. The Formula hood is in good shape, a couple of the small grilles in the back have cracks, not busted off or anything but there are a few cracks. the corners are good on this fiberglass hood. The nose is in good shape, as are the headlight buckets and all the lights. The passenger side taillight appears to have something spilled on it that kinda melted the plastic, but I have a replacment in good shape that is also included. The rims are 15" American racings, and I can include a set of Ralley's that need refinished if you would like.

Interior- The dash, headliner and sunvisors are mint. the front seats have some damage and will need recovered, and the back seat is starting to have the seam come apart at the top. The carpet is fair, and appears to have been replaced. the center console is fair as well, the lid for the console box has been covered in an incorrect fabric.

mechanical- Everything works as it should, There are new brake linings on all four corners and a new master cylinder. All lights work with the exception of the reverse lights, they will need new sockets. 3/4 tread left on all tires.
Car runs/shifts great.

I'm ASKING 2500 OBO, and will consider trades for just about anything, but would really like an f-bod that needs no bodywork, or a jet-ski. Feel free to ask any questions, and I can email any pics you want!

Re: '71 Firebird Formula 400 FS/FT

it sure would...and its pretty cheap too. The car runs great, pretty fast with the 400/400 and posi 4.10's. Line locks...sfc's... holly red pump.......

But I have no room for it, and no desire to get involved in bodywork which I know nothing about.

So the car goes away cheap. I gave 3K for it, and put about 800 more, so I'm really losing my tail, but it has to go soon!

Re: '71 Firebird Formula 400 FS/FT

I will give you a set of Weld Draglites with BRAND NEW never run Mickey Thompson Sportman front runners and a set of BFG 295 Street tires on the rear. Slick set, nice and wide out back, 5 inchers in the front. With all spacers and the lug nuts. Interested?
