I just took 4 Infinity Reference 652i Speakers out of my Camaro. These are the oversized kind that fit perfectly into a 4th Gen. (60W RMS, 180W Max) (4 Ohms)

These speakers all worked great when I took them out but I wanted to go with amped speakers to keep up with my Sub.

These speakers were not used too hard and sound really great. I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their stock system.

how would they work just being ran by a head unit?

they are 2 ways

...and sound great being run by just a head unit. (the car sounded good when I bought it with just the 4 Infinitys and a crappy aftermarket tape deck)...it sounded even better once I upgraded to a $300 Kenwood MP3 player
