4.10's for sale Used for a year
CHEAP...
I've got a set of 4.10's for sale from my '95 TransAm. I bought 'em from nextgenparts (yearone) so i don't know what brand they actually were. They were fairly quiet.
Anyway, the story goes like this. I had this nasty vibration coming from somewhere. the "shop" told me it was from the rear end, even though i had the gears put in only a year ago. So i had some new gears put in, they said after looking at the old gears that i had a "tight spot" in them. So they installed new gears, car still vibrated. then they said it was my posi unit, so i had a new SLP posi unit installed. then they said it was my driveshaft, so i got a new driveshaft. The bottom line is that i've still got this vibration, and i have this set of 4.10's which are a year old, and look pretty good to me, and the car still vibrates after having all these new parts put in, so my conclusion is that the gears purchased from YearOne are fine, and that something else is wrong with my car.
At any rate, the gears are for sale cheap cuz I can't sell them knowing for sure that they're 100% good. I suppose someone could buy them and find out. Or if nothing else just use them for a race application. When they were installed they didn't whine much. Actually, the set of 4.10 US gears i've got in now whine a ton!
So, make an offer on these gears if you want. I think they got about.... 7,000 or 8,000 miles on them.
thanks

Jack, i hate to spoil your fun, but i already have a buyer. I also sent you e mail today, since i have a way of getting ahold of you finally.
The buyer said the check was going to be in the mail as of Saturday. If it falls through i'll bring this to the top again. Thank you
