Outstanding. Tally has changed alot since I moved there in '96, I'm sure it changed more between '85 and then. But hell, what do I know? I'm not even 22 yet

I know aftermarket 12 bolts bolt in like stock, but I dont know about the Ford 9 inch. To make a long story short, does it use factory Torque arm mounts? I'm also taking a good assumption that it doesn't use a 1310 u-joint and that it uses a 1350. The 383 I have for it is pretty stout, but I'm planning on going supercharged in the future and the 10 bolt aint gonna cut it even though it's built, so I moved those parts to my driver. Also, it is stock width for a thirdgen or a fourthgen? I'm planning on running ZR1 wheels so I would prefer a fourthgen...

I am interested, but can't do anything soon, since I just bought a ton of parts for my driver, and am getting ready to change duty stations. I'm also committed on several other things at the moment...

The MOSER /Ford 9" is very stout, I put it behind my 450+ (TKO Tranny)race motor no problems, the difference between a 12 bolt and 9" is that it's much easier to swap rear ratios in the 9", if you want stronger, you'd need a Dana 60
The Moser is set up for a 3rd gen bolt in and has 3rd gen widths and offsets, I'm emailing you pics of the lexan.
I used the inside plates to mount it, cause I was going to the races that day.
You can make much nicer plates with ease
Thanks
Evan

TTT for you.

I'll send a link to a friend, but I doubt he has the money right now for the 9".

Just wondering with the lexan glass, I know obviously not a street car item, but how does it hold up to sunlight? Do they cloud up, get brittle, or splinter up with time in the sun?

Race cars live in shops, in trailers, or at least under a cover, my current car sees daylight 2 days each month, when it is going very, very fast

Evan,
Where are you located? Can you get an accurate freight to hartford, ct 06119, or meet at one of the mid atlantic or north east tracks (Pocono, LRP, Watkins Glen, etc...) What shape is the plexi - i.e. is it scratched or hazy? Thanks!

Hey Andrew,
Any relationship to the wheel adapter "Skulte"?

Ok, The Lexan has one race weekend on it, never even been wiped clean because it's not dirty, it is perfect, not hazy or scratched.
I am in CA. (Laguna Seca, Sear's Point, Thunder Hill, Button Willow)
The window is still on the car which is no big deal, but It's not boxed which will be a hassle, and I'm not taking it down to UPS which is 20 miles away through traffic in the wrong direction, to find out, "how much will it be to ship to xxxxx, 4 days per week"

Even though it weighs 7lbs, it will probably be 15-20# boxed and oversized as heck... So
I'll guess at $40 to ship, if it costs less then $35 you get a refund, if it is more then $45 you send the difference.
Doesn't that sound fair?

Evan,
$40 for shipping sounds great, but UPS will probably be twice that. If you get the dimensions for the box used to ship it, you can enter that on the www.ups.com website for "oversize", and they'll base the shipping charge on a dimensional weight. I am the very same Skulte, and been road racing for years with the original billet wheel adapters. In any case - does the window come w/ everything - i.e. I unbolt my hatch at the hinge, and bolt this on? Or will I need to fabricate it somehow to the hatch? Might as well toss in a fiberglass hood if ya got it too, since shipping won't really be any more. Thanks!

The hood Idea is an interesting possibility, as I have one, with a scoop, but it occurred to me that when I bought my lean rear C4 vette window from Melrose TTop that they rolled it up into basically a big tube, and stuck it in a reasonable size box.
I untaped it and it popped right into shape.
So that might be the answer

since you have the adapters could I interest you in a set of CCW road race wheels w 7 3/4 4th gen offset? 17x11, 18x10? $1200

Thanks
Evan

I'd love those wheels, but it blows the road racing budget. I wouldn't want to insult you with a low offer. Do they have good tires on them... Damn devil on the shoulder is talking again... More track time, less parts. More track time, less parts. Keep repeating after me...

Better nut behind the wheel = 3-5 seconds per lap. Lighter equipment = maybe 1 sec/lap. He he he. Are you getting out of racing, or just racing the C4 these days?

3-5 sec + 1 sec = alomst 6 secs
Gotta Do both!!
I'm racig the C4 and don't have time space or money to rebuild , maintain and store a second racecar.
And the vette is just an unbelievable car.
Truly an animal that gobbles up the pavement. My F Bod was fast but this is wild.

still available, expect shipping in the $40 range
if $35 or less, you get a refund, $45 or more, you pay the difference
