383 LT1 Short Block

I am starting a new thread with this one because the last person backed out of the purchase. It was not what he needed.

The cam is a little small. We ordered it this way to pass smog, but give some more horsepower over stock.

The compression with stock LT1 heads will be 10.75:1.

Pics can be seen here!

Here is the buildup:

Is there any guarantee from the builder?

Besides heads, intake, and front mounted accessories...what else do I need?

Let me know, and will you take $2k shipped?
Thanks!

It was built by Hye-Tech. Their race car is a 1100+ horsepower Grand National. They have built many 1500+ horsepower engines. You can call and ask for Sod. He is the owner/builder. 626-855-1154. Tell him it is the short block he built for Eric. That is me. It is up to Sod for the guarantee.

I will take $2000 and you pay shipping. Let me know!

Never run. Brand new rebuild. Horsepower is kinda tough to say. The displacement is increased 9% so you should see a 9% increase in power over stock. It has a small cam that is probably good for 10-15 horsepower. You can easily change it out to your favorite grind!

How about 1250.00 + shipping?
Stock rods and not a forged crank, 2 bolt main. 1250 is about right.

The cost of the machine work and the installation was over $1500. I told the last guy I would take $2000 plus shipping. That is as low as I will go.

The crank is nodular Iron. Right between cast and forged.

The blueprinting on this engine is second to none.

Anyone?

They are stock rods that have the beams polished and shot peened. This greatly strengthens the rods over stock. They are obviously fully balanced.
