MOTOR WILL NOT BE PARTED OUT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!

Motor was in for a rebuild from another engine builder. What I started with was far from perfect and there was a lot of work to get it up to an acceptable level for me. Every part was inspected and replaced or remachined for proper clearance, fit etc....

To get it running all you need is the Accel DFI computer (if you want) and any large blower for a street/strip car, Vortec T or YSi Trim, Procharger D1-F1 etc... and easily make 850hp+

My Invoice for the motor has the total of parts and labor coming to around $15,400. (No $hit!)

This motor is very similar to the specs of the motor in this thread.
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=527547

Only difference is the cam is a street non-emissions cam and the head castings are AFR's instead of TFS. That motor went 9.8's @ 143 emission legal in a full weight F-body.

$7,500 OBO + shipping Crating and Shipping is around $400

If you are interested e-mail me or post here. I'm serious about the OBO, if it's a decent offer it's out ther door, otherwise I can sit on the motor. I'm just looking to get my remaining balance from my invoice out of the motor and the customer gets the rest. Either way this is a KILLER DEAL at $7500 considering what the motor comes with.

Wow... nice motor and big price tag. Its worth every penny though. Thats a quality build with quality parts... very similar to my build actually (so I know what goes into the engine cost wise). Bump for you Bret... EBAY might be a good option too.

Yeah, once you actually build a whole motor like this you realize that it does cost that much. Hell i've seen cast crank NA 383's go for $10K.

Now team it up with either of these.....

And you got yourself a full motor!

What some people dont realize too is that if someone was to build this engine at home and order the parts themselves, all the parts you listed would run them damn near ~$1000 in shipping when all said and done shipped to their home.

I also have a similar setup and to save 5K+ is a steal esp w/ "OBO" w/in reason. Spent 15K on my recent setup...it isn't cheap to fly but it doesn't get any better than this.

An EXTRA bump!

What is the CR? How much HP can the bottom end handle? Can an opti still be ran if you block off dist hole?

The opti hole is plugged in the timing cover, plus there is a timing pointer on the cover that would be in the way. Either way I think you can use the Dual Sync for a ignition signal, which would be ten times more accurate and durable.

The CR is 8.5:1, the bottom end should hold 1000hp no problem.

Ok, I'll admit I'm bad at selling parts on the forum. Still need some offers on this thing.

Can it be ran without boost? What kind of power do you think it makes NA?

You could run it without boost, yeah. Especially if you were planning to get a blower and put it on later, it's probably around a LE3 383 setup if you were running it NA. Then drop a blower on it and pick up 350-400HP.
