I have a 350 block i just got from a friend because he owed me money. so now i need to get my money back out of it. my buddy said it was bored 30 over and had all the machine work dont except it just needs a finish hone. he said it has new king bearings. and he said the crank is a brand new eagle forged 383 crank. he told me it was almost $800 when he bought it. everything it ready to go for a 383 project just make me an offer.

 

I'm interested but it might be hard to sell when your not positive of the specs.
Would it be possible for you to get the number of the shop that did the work so that someone could call and verify the work that was done.

 

what kind of specs is it that you need to know. i will see if i can track down the place that did the work.

 

It would be nice to see a copy of the bill if he could find it but I realize that might be difficult.
It will probably say everything that was done to the block.

You could ask him the following info:

Was it hot tank and magnafluxed?
Has been zero decked or not?
Does it have new cam bearing and freeze plugs? You mention King bearings but I just want to make sure that you ment both sets of bearings.
Is the crank zero balanced? ( I assume it hasn't been balanced since the rods and pistons are not mentioned.)
