Arrow 3.23 gears

I have some stock 3.23 gears that used to be on my old Fbody (which I've sold). I pulled them out and went with 3.73s. Honestly, I probably should have stuck with the 3.23s but that's another story. These are probably great upgrades for guys with 2.73s.

$40 and the buyer pays the shipping.

TTT! This mod will provide an ET drop for cars with 2.73s without really sacrificing gas mileage (unlike 3.73s).

I would buy them off you but my (and all I think) 2.73s use a 2 series carrier and the 3.23s use a 3 series. So I have to change out the whole rear end to do it or just the carrier and pay to have it installed.

Sad I got stuck with 2.73s. At least I get 32 mpg on trips

rbaski: Are you sure about that? For some reason, I'd thought this was a straight swap if you bought the installation kit but it has been YEARS since I did the swap. I thought there was nothing stopping 2.73 guys from going with the exact same Motive 3.73s that I installed in my car.

If you're sure, then that's great but for some reason I didn't think that was the case.

i think to make a set of 3.23 to work in a 2.73 rearend you have to change out the carrier.

I know you can buy 3.73 gears that are made specifically for a 2 series carrier but they are uncommon since most people have a 3 series to begin with. r west, maybe thats what you bought.

The gear sets are different for the 2 series carrier and the 3 series carriers. They make spacers to run 3 series gear sets in 2 series carriers. Some people dont like them, but thats exactly what I've had in mine for over 4 years and even though I havent had mine on the dyno, I know its making some decent power (hard not to with 18lbs of boost). Either I'm just lucky or the spacers arent all that bad :P

I can't comment on what the going price is now, but I paid $175 for my install and I never had an issue. Granted, they were installed by a GM Master Tech, but I couldn't complain at all about the install.

If anyone is interested, please PM me.

check your glove box or drivers door for the rpo sticker. should find a list of 3 character long letter and number combinations. look for GU2(2.73) , GU5(3.23), GU6(3.42). if its GU2 they wont fit without a spacer or changing the carrier. if its GU5 its the same gear and GU6 is a higher gear
