1983 T-bird 5.0 AOD For Sale in NY 43k original miles!
Car belongs to my grandma ... it was her brothers before he passed away. Car is in Long Island but I can get it upstate (Albany-Troy) for a serious buyer. She is looking to get it off her insurance ASAP since she bought a new (to her) car.
Perfect winter beater or first car.
Silver over dark grey interior... every option!!
8.8 Rear with LSD (4 lug)
5.0 L TBI motor
4 spd AOD (the first!)
P win/locks/seat/antenna/steering/brakes/r-def, AM/FM Cassette Stereo, remote trunk release, digital clock, lumbar support ...
This was a 12k car when new in 1983!!!!
New front tires, and the rears are almost new too. I drove it in the winter of 2000 for my winter car, and did some work to it then (it had 38k then!) New front tires, new batt in 2000, usual maintenance stuff.
AC doesnt work, but the heat does. Has the rear bumper cover primered, and a little rot at the base of the rear window, but it is the most solid 20 year old car I have seen in the northeast short of a showcar. (it was garaged at my uncles, and at his work!) As far as I know everything else works. Power window on the drivers side takes some persuasion to go up, but hey its not new.
She rarely drove it because it made her sad to think of her brother.
Make me a reasonable offer over 600. Remember it will cost me 50 bucks in tolls and gas to get it upstate (I am in albany now)
KBB says its worth a grand... I know thats not true.
