**HELP** shipping a hood, need help.advice?
i need information and advice on how to ship a hood.
this is for a friend, he has a hood i want, but is in PA, i live in texas.
how can he ship it to me? what should he use? UPS? FedEx? GreyHound? AirBorne? what company?
secondly, in what shoud he put it in? a box or someting? if so, where can he get a box that big?
i have bought 2 hoods from fibgerglassfabricatorsinc.com and they shipped via UPS and they shipped to a business, and they were inside a cardboard box.
a business address is not a problem, i have a couple i can use.
i need to know where to get the stuff/matieral to ship/protect it?
i put it in this section since alot of people have shipped parts of cars, especially hoods, bumpers and yadda yadda.
all help is appreciated.

Drive there, bolt on, drive back. But, if you can't do that...
Best way to ship is in a hood box. Wrap the hood in cellophane/foam/bubblewrap, GENEROUSLY padding the corners and masking taping them well so they're stiff. load into box that the hood/packaging BARELY fits into (you dont want it moving around. At all. especially if its glass). Label right side up, fragile, etc. Ship freight. Buy insurance. Inspect immediately upon delivery.
You can find most of the stuff at a local moving truck place... IE: UHaul, RYder, etc.
