Talking ZZZZZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOO6!!!!!!!

As some of you already know, my buddy bought a black on black 2001 ZO6 on Friday. MMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! What a freakin awesome ride!!!!!!!! Just got back from cruisin with him and that things sticks in the rain like you wouldn't belive. I got back in my old "clunker" and just felt like crap. That car is so smooth, sexy and fast!!!!!!

He went o Richards last night with his girl and pulls up in front of the club looking to see where he should park and the bouncers walk up to him and say "Sir, don't worry, just leave your car up front and we'll make sure nothing happens to it. Oh yeah and the line up, don't worry, you can walk right in!" God Freakin ddammm!!! I want one.
What's really cool about him is that we go to Metro town to get my hair cut, walk back to the car and he goes"Here, I'm tired, you drive."

What a gorgeous car!!

I drove a Z06 to get gas once & man our cars do feel like crap after driving the Z06, tracting is not a problem, I floored it & it just hooked & threw me back in the seat, I loved that thing, but our cars are muscle They are different thats for sure.

That's great !!!

The Z06 suspension is computer controlled (programmed by Delphi) having big a$$ stabilizer bars, stiff springs, wide tires, and light components. That results in a HUGE traction improvement over the F-Body.

Congrats to your friend .

What a TOTALLY AWESOME car!! Next to the mighty F-Body, this would definately be my hands-down favorite... I saw a black on black Z06 convertible last night here in Victoria! I thought you could only get them in hardtop coupe configurations, but this baby was definately a Z06 and definately a droptop. What a totally sweet car!! Enjoy!!

I am a tad bit of a Z06 fiend and like you thought that they didn't make them. I had to do a triple-take last night when I saw that one! Must be new because I am 99% sure they didn't build them the last few years... anyone else know anything about this? At any rate, it was a totally awesome car, no doubt....

No such thing as a Z06 convertible. I saw a yellow one and on closer inspections saw that it was a regular vette with the air ducts etc. The Zo6 was built as a street ready race car. Not a roadster.

Yep, you're right. Just checked with GM and they don't make one. So that only leaves two options for the car I saw last night:
1) It was NOT a Z06 and the dude put Z06 badges on it (very sad if this is true).... or....
2) He got the roof done aftermarket; that doesn't sound like a good idea to me with 405hp... structural rigidity issues and all.

I thought maybe I saw something new last night, but alas it couldn't have come that way from the showroom.
