WTF is up with Maple Ridge?!?!?!?!?
Re: WTF is up with Maple Ridge?!?!?!?!?
I don't know if I should be telling anyone this, but I work for the company that does all the digitial surveillance, and all the Tim Hortons use our system. My work partner, had to go there today to extract what video evicence of the system he could. There were no cameras at the pumps though, just inside the store. You can see him run out, I guess when they're starting to drive away.. and that's pretty much the last footage of him alive. Very sad... I read in the paper today that their charging him with 2nd degree murder. Good. Here is a link if anyone is interested.

If you’re talking about the provincial Liberals you have no clue how the system works, but if on the other hand you were talking about the Federal Liberals you might have a point. Especially with their Incredibly STUPID useless gun registry program, spend millions and millions of dollars if not billions and have nothing to show for it. If you look at England and the system that they use to regulate guns, which Canada is using as a model for our system, England is just now realizing after 20+ years that it doesn’t work and is a complete waste of money. I mean what does it matter if a gun is registered or not when someone commits a crime with it? NOTHING the crime is still committed!! But it really wouldn’t matter what party was elected federally, we still wouldn’t have permits to carry guns. Also it’s not so much the problem mr00jimbo that we aren’t allowed to carry guns, it the ineffective way the Justice system deals with young offenders, and any other criminals.
Re: WTF is up with Maple Ridge?!?!?!?!?
Fed.
Yeah, gun registry costs something like 50,000% more than they estimated.
Whoops! Little off there!
Because you gotta ask the government for permission to take your gun from your house to the range, so they can give you a day permit. Cause you know, I can TOTALLY see how this prevents crimes!

I put the blame on criminal activists who think rehabilitation overrules punishment and confinement. Think about it. There are people out there who think if somebody robs, steals, kills, rapes, that they shoudln't go to jail, they should get help. That's why if you're working a night shift, some guy comes in with a bat to mash your face in, you lay ONE finger on him and you're the one who's gonna get sued, I'll bet you.
Cause like, how dare you touch somebody "in need of mental help"?
Canadian CCW (gun-carry permit) is in the works and most likely not going to be surfacing any time during this lifetime. It's a good idea though. There's a lot of **** out there that doesn't make the papers, some that does but is still not taken as harshly as it should. Like those kids who beat that kid to death at the highschool 5 minutes from my house, or ten minutes from here some kid cut through an elementary school to go to the 711, and was beaten by 15 kids.
Criminals have too many rights. That's why Surrey is car theft capitol of the world. The government is too spineless to do **** about it, and will not allow you to take the law into your own hands, even though no law is being used on their behalf.
BC should just go ahead and pass a 15-year-minimum jail sentance law for any muggings and/or car theft/vandalism. See if that works. Right now it's probably like a 2 hour maximum jail term for theft of anything.

Re: WTF is up with Maple Ridge?!?!?!?!?
Hey Shaun I wasn’t really trying to single you out with my post and put you down. It was more that both you and jimbo should have been a little more specific and detailed in your posts.
After re-reading my post again I guess I came across a little strong, it’s just that I can’t stand that the Federal Government can spend over
HALF A BILLION
that we know of on the gun registry program and have absolutely nothing to show for it.
They would have been better off just dumping it all into health care and increasing Police budgets across Canada then what they did with it. And if you were to look at what they spent that half a billon on it would make you sick. Over half of it was spent on computer systems that didn’t work and crashed all the time. That they turned around trashed just to get another computer system that didn’t work properly!! As far as I’m concerned this whole program is a bigger fiasco then the Sponsorship Scandal!

Re: WTF is up with Maple Ridge?!?!?!?!?
Now here are another two news stories of our useless Justice System in Canada.
Toronto Star Article
Edmonton Sun Article
In the first news article in the Toronto Star that relates to the Air India bombing Rick Anderson says;
“Canada's tut-tut class always tut-tuts when anyone suggests our justice system is too lax, too soft on criminals. The tutting grows to a howl at any suggestion that billions wasted on gun registry bureaucracy could be better invested in more practical law enforcement. And the tut-meter redlines when anyone dares ask whether immigration screening might be more attentive to blocking the importation of extremists and criminals to our soil disguised as refugees or seeking family unification.”
He also makes a point when he states that the government has spent over $100 million on the investigation and trial in the Air India case and no one has yet been found guilty of this crime.
He also touches on the shooting of the four RCMP constables in Mayerthorpe, Alberta.
It was known that James Roszko (the guy that shot the RCMP constables) had a violent temper, a long criminal record, and a court ban from owning weapons.
In the second news article in the Edmonton Sun that involves a Weapons convictions case in Ontario the article states that; “Ontario's Court of Appeal tossed out weapons convictions against two men, saying a police roadblock that led to the discovery of the handguns was "unlawful." ”
