hehe no way do i pass aircare, but i probably could with some tweaking.

my current setup is.

-1973 350ci 4bolt. !all emissions
-Holley 670cfm
-284-2H cam, 284intake 294exhaust (matching lifters/springs)
-2.5" true dual, 3" dual cutouts, 3" in/out 40series flowmasters.
-stock smoger heads
-Performer RPM Intake
-K&N

dunno bout the hp/tq yet, waiting to dyno.
1/4mile im guessing around low/mid 14s? i dunno

more mods but thats really only things that deal with the emissions for aircare

So when do you get out of having to go through aircare? After your car is 25 years old??

I passed this year. The car will never aircare again with this engine though. I just slipped through by the skin of my teeth. 377ci with camel hump heads and a little extra compression . I had to stick a leaned out Qjet on there and retard the timing to 4 degrees ATDC. Only emmisions is pcv. You still need to aircare all but collector cars. Have to aircare grandmas 74 formula 400. Although grandpas 64 falcon and model T dont need it.... I should ask why. Not sure if the firebird is a collector or not actually now that I think of it. Should be.

You can put collector plates on any car over 25 years old, providing that it is OEM. And you can put antique plates if it's over 50 years old I think. Not sure on that one though.

Edit: anything before 1970 doesn't have to go through aircare because it doesn't have any emission controls. Now thats the way to go!!

I pass... after 8 tries

'88 CRX Si 1.6L SOHC engine (stock) swapped in favour of a JDM B16A 1.6L DOHC engine. Only mods are, cold air intake, exhaust system, B&M FPR, and an ACT clutch.

I don't really know why a 1.6L emits so much worse than another 1.6L but that's life I guess

I've not even tried yet...

350, ~430hp
13.3@107. 2.3 60' thanks to a busted tach . It'll be a little faster on the 8th

I can't wait till 2006 when the aircare contract is up.

What about if a person were to drop a LS1 or LT1 in a 67 Camaro?
Would the same rule still apply?
