What's the best source for running a History Report?

Hey guys, boy it's been a while, I feel so out of the loop without my car these days. But no worries, bout to pick myself up something nice to replace her.

Here's my question, I know that a lot of people like to use carfax, but I have also heard that it sucks. My buddy did a carfax on his car, nothing showed up, then he did an ICBC check and 4 accidents and 1 stolen report came up.

Anywayz, here's the twist, the car is now located at a dealership in the states. It was orginally from Alberta, Canada. So what do you guys think would be the best way to go about running a report on this car?

I understand there are ways for someone to hide certain things, but any advice you got for me would be great.

Oh and does anyone know if Alberta has the same type of thing that ICBC has?
