What to do with this?

If it was my truck I'd:
1. replace that ugly stepside with a fleetside.
2. replace that ugly stepside with a 89+ version stepside. The lines from the 89+'s follow the cab lines very closely and looks good on the 67-72's.
3. dump it with air bags front and rear
4. shave it, install roll pans front and rear, and paint it cortez silver or black
5. stick some 18" TT II's under it
6. replace the 6 with LT1 or LS1
7. use it to tow a race car in style... lol...
But that's just me.

It will be dropped a couple inches to balance it out. 16s are the biggest tires we are putting on it.
The 6 will go to either a LS1 or a LS2 Engine with a t56 manual.
& the gas tank will be changed to under the bed.

Are you still covered in Wa. ifyou have collector plates and then modify it? Here you cannot modify it from stock if you have collector plates. They will screw you and not cover you

My C10 I can cut up and not worry about, its nothing special and has already been tweaked, but the other one is so stock that resto people really want it. All the options help too

The only thing we were told at the time we put CVPs on it was it couldnt be used as a daily driver.

I am glad its not yours lol. YOu know how hard it is to find a nice looking stepside short box in good shape?

Some like to keep things stock,,, others don't, but hey,,,, you asked for it. Good luck with your new toy. If it makes you happy, that's all that matters.

The title should have been what to do with my husband & his new toy lol.
Oh well the deal was that he got this & in the next year or so I get a new 1500 Step side short box. Of my choice.
