Ok guys this is a big one Bill 1397 THe area I quoted from is basically saying we are going to be changing our emissions to be like Cali & if they change their rules we change ours as well. Can we say Washington state is becoming like sheep?
Also this means that if this gets passed anyone that has done any mods to their car that doesnt have the OE number on their cowl (God I hope I am saying this right) Their car is no longer legal to drive on the roads. Can I say good by to over 5k worth of work done on my car?????? And I know many of you have even more done!!!!!!

Call this number 1.800.562.6000. tell them who you are, where you live at (county or city) & that you are against this bill, then you hand the phone over to the next person in your household (or office or where ever you are) & have them do the same thing. Any person who is old enough to vote can weigh in on this.
For ever 1 person that calls its like 100 votes.

Let's face it, this time we have to speak up or they will take away our rights and our hobby.

I always thought the emmsion laws were somewhat similar to here.....

 

Cali emissions laws are even stricter then Federal standards, Heck If I remember right last night someone said they the big 3 will not sell Big SUVs or large trucks down there any more. But I could be wrong since I was half dead on my feet.

 

our pollution tolerances are the same as cali's here in BC ,, except we dont bother with carb #s on each mod and wont ticket people on the street for not having cats and such .. but the max allowable pollution when testing is the same... they are just more **** about the parts you put on ur car and what not... which doesn't make any sense .. mod the car how u want it .. and make it pollute under the limit ..

 

I agree. I can deal with having the sniffer tests. But if a car can pass that then it should be acceptable. Done

Of course there are places in Washington where it is dumb to have testing. Not much traffic up in Northeast Washington State.

 

I haven't heard anything about big trucks or SUV's althought that could be true. Less Excursions and 1 ton trucks blocking my lanes sounds good to me. What you can't get in California are new diesel cars. They don't pass emissions. So no new VW diesels for Pandamonkey. There are 5 states that don't allow new diesel car sales.
