Track was better on Friday

Went out to the track on friday and beat my best by 2/100's again. 12.54 @ 112.6mph. My 60ft was only a 2.03 so I should of been able to hit 12.3X or 12.4X that day but I only got 2 runs

You two guys are sooo close. I'd definetally show up at Mission to see that grudge race.

Musky you better have more planned when Chris gets his h/c done.

Seen the runs, I think the car can easily pull off a 12.2 It's sounds awesome ripping down the track

Definately would be an awesome race to watch

Somehow I can't picture you being a trash-talker...

But this would be a cool 'grudge' race. We'll have to try it, if we can get out and line up. Your numbers look awesome and I'd love to run you. Even if not, I'm sure we can arrange something privately. That works for me too.

Maybe if I'm beside you, with your lope they won't hear my cutout and I can make a run with it open... That should bring me a little closer to your trap speed.

A little bit off-topic, but not really. Why is it that LT1s with lower dyno numbers than LS1s can generally run the 1/4 the same? Is it just the curve of it? And don't just say the driver! Bolton and cammed LS1s are doing about 370-380rwhp and run like 12.2-12.5 with a good driver and slicks. Seems like the difference in 30rwhp should make more of a difference in the 1/4?

Re: Track was better of Friday

many factors are involved. torque curve, manual or auto, launch rpms, weight, gearing, street tires or slicks, i ran 12.90's in my tub with only 295wrhp with the old setup, 3700lb race weight. its all in the setup i guess. plus we are at sea level so those are uncorrected numbers, which is the best way to be

It will have to wait till next year. The car is officially off the road until next year

Bolt on ls1's without a cam can run deep 11's with slicks not 12's with cam and slicks. It has nothing to do with ls1/lt1 its all setup like blue said. Power vs weight and most importantly traction. ChriSS ls1 is stock cam, stock heads full weight and drag radials ( not slicks ) with mid 12's .

I put down 390 with a tini cam on stock heads and cant get down the track in the 12's.

Re: Track was better of Friday

there are bolt on LS1 cars running 11's with ~350rwhp.... sick!

I'm sure there are some 350rwhp LT1s in the 11's too... look at how close Payam got and his 60fts were ****

Re: Track was better of Friday

It's all in the launch. If I was able to hit 1.6-1.7 60ft's I should be able to hit the 11's. Usually .1sec less of a 60ft will result in a .2 to .15 sec decrease in the quarter.
Weight is also a key factor, my race weight was 3635lbs that day. The only weight reduction my car has is the front sway bar removed.
