well, after talking to Payam... I may not pull the motor. We'll see when we get the intake, etc off. I have a few things planned for the valve train.. basically I';m still pissed for breaking my valve springs , having the rockers come off, etc.. so I'm going to try to put something in that will be "bullit" proof. For now, the only thing I plan on doing that is major, after checking the heads and pistons for damage is a bigger cam, valves, valve springs, lifters and RRs. I have some time so the first step will be to get everything off and see what I need and then plan out the motor mods. The rest of the stuff is bolt on so it can be done in a day.

U know what Bobby, u should come up here with ur wife on the same weekend and we can do the mods together. Ur wife and mine can go shopping.... It's only a five hour drive.

Hmmm only 5 hours huh??? I might have to do that I think I'll just be helping you though after this round of heads and cam are done I should be done for awhile....Yeah RIIIIIGHT

Well I am probably going to take you up on your offer this summer anyways maybe we can plan a Mission (I think thats where you guys go) day. The ladies can go shopping, its amazing the amount of enjoyment they get from a pair of shoes....

Good luck this round if your oil leak is coming from the front timing cover or anything to do with the oil pan screw what Payam says and pull the damn motor and be done with it. I did the oil pan gasket while engine was in car. If you have the tools to get the motor out from the bottom and your already doing the kmember.

Actually Payam your the young one. I didn't pull the motor BUT if I was saying if you have the means to drop the motor from the bottom and you were changing the K member anyways then I'd drop the motor

Your the young skinny bastard that doesn't mind crawling around and putting his skinny arms in tight places I'm an old fat *** who would rather take the time and be more comfortable.. I mean if you have the right tools how long does it take to drop the motor from the bottom? Plus if your doing valve train work too?? I'm sorry but its much easier to do that with the motor out.

Now if I didn't have the place and tools (hoist, engine stand etc) and I wasn't replacing the kmember I'd do it all in the car. But thats just me
