Not to ride on your coattails...but I've got a complete GM Bose system that fits LT1 cars directly. Only problem is the deck that I have is tape only, but I'm willing to part it and for cheap. It's been sitting in a box for a couple years but worked perfectly when I removed it.

1999V6, thanks for checking, are your rear speakers set up like the baseline system which has 2 speakers by the rear seats, 6.5" ? If not... damn, don't want to re-wire the whole car. I can see why though, my rear speakers are 10 ohms ( !? ) think you can find a replacement speaker for that - NO.

Thanks GreenZ28in503, if it was a CD deck I'd be interested.

94Z:

Here's the specs on the firebird monsoon:

Firebird

Front Speakers

6.5" inch "S" oversized, 2 ohm, located in the lower portion of the doors

.6" 4 ohm tweeters just above the 6.5"

Rear Speakers

4" 4 ohmmidrange speakers located in the rear hatch panels
.6" 4 ohm tweeter located next to the rear 4" midrange

Sail Panel Woofers

6.5" dual 4 ohm voice coil subwoofers located next to the rear seats

10 Channel Amplifer -500W

Four of the channels are located in the headunit. They power the tweeters located in the doors and in the rear hatch area. The other six channels are in the amplifier located on the passenger side rear wheel well. The amplifier powers the rest of the speakers in the system.

I have the Monsoon system in my 02 hawk. It sounds pretty good but could use a little more bass with a sub-woofer and amp. But for $100.00 that's a steal. They retail for many times that amount, I wouldn't dump mine that cheap but thinking about up-grade already.
