STB and SFC's

Okay guys, need some input here. I have a 2002 formula firehawk with Bilstein Ultra Suspension. I've been told the hawks with Bilstein suspension are lowered just over an inch. Will the boxed SFC's hang too low and affect ground clearance? Also, want Strut Tower Brace and I'm referring to BMR, is the regular STB good enough or should I pay the extra bucks on the heavy-duty extreme one? Will one of those cheaper short-shifter's do the job or should I pay more for the Lou's short-shift? Drumhawk.

Depending onwho the subframe connectors are made by, they tuck up under the sides, so you won't even notice them, There should be no issue with those.

The Subframes will tuck under the car nicely and won't give you any problems for ground clearence. I would say the regular strut tower brace will be fine for your application. Also I would recommend a Hurst Short Throw shifter. Someone with a 6spd may be able to give some better reviews on different shifters

It was nice meeting you on Friday, your car looks awesome.

I have the SLP shifter and Lou's short stick. I love the SS. I got the shifter for $99 USD on a sale they had. Could not complain at those prices.

You are free to get the 'feel' for the shifter at some time.

I have the SLP STB and Kenny Brown DD connectors. Personally I think they are the best to get.

i agree, the SLP short throw shifter along with the lou's short stick is the best combo (as i drove shauns car for a while i got to love his shifter) .. other than that i like my B&M ripper a lot .. not as short throw, but the next best thing id say

a shifter is a MUST for all these cars

I have the boxed BMR sfc.. They do hang about half the 3/4 of an inch down.. most likely your y-pipe hangs about that low or even lower than that.

One thing nice about the boxed sfc's i I can use them as handy jacking points.

Steve, forget the boxed SFCs or a heavy duty 3 point STB - totally unnecessary. Get a standard two point SLP or BMR STB and the tubular weld on BMR SFCs. The tubular SFCs have no clearance problems, and I have the same "ultra" suspension you got.

Good luck.
