if i go with a 2800 stall will i need a tranny cooler? and how much are stalls usualy with an install i dont have the time to do it myself

 

Tranny cooler definitally. To install a TC it's almost like to re and re a tranny so I'd say 200 bux.

 

Not sure the cost on an LT1 but an LS1 TC is about $250-500 US depending on the size and brand name. A 2800 is usually cheaper than most, being smaller. Install will likely cost $200 or more. Depends - its not a bad install, but can be messy, so it may run up to $400, depending on the shop.

A 2800 might get away w/o a cooler, but I wouldn't bother trying. They are so cheap and easy to install, I'd add a b&m good sized one to play it safe. I think mine is for about 21,000 GVW or so. Should be about $50 and 30 minutes to install.
